3. How we use your data
To create and secure your account, deliver courses and trainings, issue certificates, respond to enquiries, process payments and payouts, improve the platform, detect fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
4. Payments via Paystack
Payments and educator payouts are processed by Paystack. When you pay, the information you enter on the payment form is submitted directly to Paystack and is governed by Paystack's own privacy policy. We receive only the transaction outcome and reference. Amounts are recorded in United States dollars.
5. AI chatbot and adviser conversations
Conversations with our AI assistant and learning adviser are logged so we can provide the answer, keep a record of the support you received, monitor quality and safety, and improve our guidance. These conversations are processed by our AI provider on our behalf. Please do not share passwords, bank details or other sensitive personal information in a chat.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in, security and your saved preferences (such as language and theme). With your consent we also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can accept all or choose essential only through the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage.
7. Sharing your data
We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, payments, AI processing), with educators for the courses you enrol in (limited to what they need), and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
8. Data retention
We keep account and learning records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to support certificate verification and legal, accounting and dispute-resolution needs. Identity and payout records are kept for the period required by financial regulations.
9. Your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA)
If you are in Nigeria, the NDPA 2023 gives you the right to be informed about how your data is used; to access a copy of your data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to request erasure where the law allows; to restrict or object to certain processing; to data portability; to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing; and to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Where you are covered by another data protection law, we will honour the equivalent rights available to you.
10. Security
Access to personal data is restricted by role and protected by database-level access rules, encrypted connections and secure credential storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
11. Children
The platform is intended for learners aged 16 and above. Younger learners may take part only with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian or school.
12. Contact for data requests
